Imagine millions of kids doing yoga and meditating every single day, learning how to quiet their minds, mute negativity and amplify the positive. Pretty extraordinary, right?

Today we’re launching something HUGE: 12 weeks of free 5-minute videos for kids to teach them social-and-emotional learning skills, so they can gain focus, build confidence and confront new challenges in and outside of the classroom. We thought, if these children, who are living in an increasingly chaotic world where there are higher rates of depression, mood disorders and adolescent substance abuse than ever before, could experience the amazing benefits of moving and meditating, then they could alleviate anxiety and learn with more ease, calm and confidence.

This is what our nonprofit organization Alo Gives is all about—bringing yoga to children of all ages, a crucial part of Alo’s mission to bring yoga to the world. We believe that if we can change the lives of tomorrow’s leaders, we really can change the world.

The 12-week program, which we’re bringing to third through fifth graders, features a new theme each week, like Be Brave, and Be Kind, with daily 5-minute videos led by some of the most inspiring yogis in the world and an activity worksheet based on each theme. It’s flexible too—kids can do them anywhere, anytime, in any order and however many times they like.
